And, if it were not for Twitter and a magazine editor’s comment, I may never have discovered my newfound ultimate addiction (next to shoes) Polyvore.com.

Polyvore is a website where artists, aspiring stylists, shoppers, and anyone who loves fashion come together to form a massive community of creativity.  Polyvore allows people to pick and choose products from a range of online stores to create their very own fashion collections called "sets". More than 30,000 sets are created every day and with over six million visitors and 140 million page views a month, Polyvore.com is most definitely the largest fashion community website in the world.

We have a lot of ‘my firsts’ throughout our life, first days, first rooms, first kisses and our first period. Often before you have your first period you’ll know what to expect and what happens when a female menstruates. Either way, it is still always going to be a shock.

Females experience a week, or five days, of menstruating or blood loss every month. The blood will be thicker and heavier at the beginning. Menstruating happens every month as the lining of the uterus thickens and then releases an egg, which can be fertilised by sperm, if this happens a women will become pregnant.
